Distribution:
Middle eastern and south of Africa.
Habitat:
Grassland and savannahs.
Size:
Male: 160 to 300 Kg. 

Female: 150 to 250 Kg.
Shoulder Height: Male 125 to 150 cm. Female 110 to 140 cm.
Behaviour:
Diurnal. It lives in herds often with zebras and antelopes. During the migration that they make from the Serengety plains (Tanzania) to the Masai Mara's ones (Kenya), it's possible to see herds of more than 350.000 animals.

Its worst enemies are: lions, hyenas, leopards, cheetah and wild dogs. 
Sound: Sound Gnu's (55K Loads in approx. 20 sec.)
Food:
Herbivore. It prefers grass and tender sprouts. It needs large quantities of water per day. 
Reproduction:
A single calf after about 8,5 months of gestation.
Longevity: 

About 18 to 20 years.
